Silverado 2500 FAQs

Is the Silverado 2500 HD Good for Off-Roading?
The ZR2 trim, which comes with a factory lift and massively upgraded suspension and driveline components, is considered the most capable for off-roading. For even more capability, shoppers near Blue Springs, MO can opt for the ZR2 Bison Edition, which is made in partnership with American Expedition Vehicles.
Does Chevy Make a 2500 Dually?
A “Dually” refers to a truck with dual rear wheels on each side of its axle; this feature immensely increases payload and trailering capacity. However, only the Silverado 3500 HD is currently available as a dual real wheel model.
Is the Silverado 2500 HD a 1-Ton Truck?
The 2500 HD is generally considered a 3/4-ton truck, while the 3500 HD is a 1-ton truck. This naming convention dates back decades to when comparable GM trucks had a payload of around 1,500 pounds, hence the name “3/4-ton truck.”
