The Next Generation Silverado Has Arrived
After eight years on the road, the Silverado 1500 is getting its first full, top-to-bottom redesign since 2019, marking the start of a new fifth generation for Chevy's best-selling truck. The new truck keeps the bold, confident stance Silverado owners know, while introducing a redesigned front end with wider LED lighting and a reworked lower bumper.
Under the hood, Chevy is refreshing its entire engine lineup, and every trim now comes standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission paired to rear- or four-wheel drive. Buyers can still choose from Regular, Double, and Crew cab configurations with short, standard, and long bed lengths, so there's a build for work, play, or both.
The 2027 Silverado 1500 is expected to arrive at dealerships by the end of 2026, with official pricing, EPA fuel economy, and full safety ratings to be confirmed closer to launch.
A Refresh That Touches Nearly Everything
New 6.6L V-8
Replaces the outgoing 6.2-liter, joining a freshly reworked 5.7-liter V-8 in the lineup.
